I am a travel agent and have been in the business for 12+
years. I frequently am asked about private guides in various parts of the world
and so I try to personally experience the people that I find before I recommend
them to my clients. I found Susie Millar on the internet and was intrigued by
her connection to and knowledge of the history of the Titanic and Belfast. When
we met Susie we were very impressed. She greeted us as we got off of our cruise
ship and showed us to her vehicle that was a lovely 5 passenger Mercedes MPV. It
was clean and comfortable and she had cold beverages for us as well as a short
DVD explaining her connection to the Titanic. She also had permission to take us
to places that most other tourists would not be able to get into. My husband is
an engineer and he especially enjoyed getting into the Pump House next to the
dry dock. We were the only ones in there.
Susie is very knowledgeable about the Titanic history, but because of her own
personal experiences being in the journalism field in Belfast, she also has a
wealth of experience about Belfast and the last 19 years covering the news
there. She also showed us many other sights in the city and offered a unique
perspective on living there. I certainly will be recommending Susie to my
clients. She was knowledgeable and professional in every way and a delight to
meet!

It was incredible... I only wish we had more time in Belfast... it was like a dream come true. Knowing about Titanic and her sisters since I was a child and having Ocean Liners as a hobby... and now, working all my life in ship design, I was a child again, with the same bright eyed curiosity when I walked into Thomas Andrews' home.
If I even plan to come back to Belfast, I hope I can see more with you, as Bill Miller and I were really rushed to ¨see it all in a day!¨
When I walked into the Drawing Office at Harland & Wolff... That's how I started out as an apprentice at Newport News Shipbuilding in Hampton, Virginia. I am spreading the word about your exclusive tour, just fantastic!
Thank you again for the experience of lifetime.

As cruise agents, we have always been interested in ships and
so when we were calling in to Belfast on Grand Princess, we decided to look for
a local guide to give us more of an accurate history of the area and Titanic in
particular. We are glad we did and so happy we found Susie Millar.
The day we were in Belfast was the day they had torrential rain and floods, but
Susie was there waiting for us on the dock side as soon as we got off the ship,
3 Mercedes golfing umbrellas in hand to keep us dry for the short walk to the
MPV. As expected for a Merc, the individual leather seats were very comfortable
and Susie supplies bottled water. Susie has a vast amount of knowledge about the
Harland & Wolfe shipyard, Titanic and the White Star Line in general. Being an
ex-Ulster TV News reporter she also knows a lot about Belfast and the
'troubles'. The longer tour includes such areas as the Falls and Shankill Roads,
names that were forever appearing in news bulletins 10 or more years ago.
With visits to areas other people don't get to see such as SS Nomadic and the
dry dock pump house it really was a wonderfully informative and enjoyable tour.
We will be recommending Susie to all our clients that call into Belfast.

Just briefly want to say thanks for the best day out! My sister and I were so thrilled with your historical tour of the Titanic. Visiting the slipways, the Graving Docks and the old, original Pump House was awe-inspiring. Being able to enter the home of Thomas Andrews and the offices of Harland & Wolfe was incredible. And your short DVD presentation was breath taking and we felt so intensely emotional to be able to be drawn back into the life and time of your great grandfather. Thank you so very much. And to be picked up right from the front door of our hotel made it so easy for us. Thanks again.

The tour on which you guided us was the highlight of our recent holiday in Northern Ireland. My wife and I were greatly moved by the sights that we saw and touched by your family closeness to the Titanic. It was great to be shown around the Titanic Quarter by someone who knew what they were talking about.

Just a few lines to say a very special thank
you for making our day so
special on 16th March, we both had an truly amazing time. Everything
about the day was amazing and certainly would not have been so without
your knowledge, help and kindness.

Television journalist Susie Millar gives a personal slant to her tour. She showed me a short film about Tommy Millar and the coins that he pressed into his sons' hands before he sailed on Titanic.

Just wanted to say how much we all enjoyed our
trip yesterday. Jack couldn’t stop talking about it all, as you can
imagine!
We will certainly pass on your details to any friends that visit Belfast
and who knows we may be back!

The first day of our 'Round Britain cruise' was made memorable by a wonderful personally escorted tour of the Titanic sites with Susie Millar. Knowledgeable, friendly and professional, she drove us round in a comfortable Mercedes taking us to places where other tours would most certainly never reach. 5 star recommendation. If you have had the good fortune to find this website, then go ahead and book. You will not be disappointed.
